I am very honoured to have been chosen to represent the people of Whalley Range at the local elections held on Thursday 6 May 2021. As a new councillor, I’m sure it will take a little time to find my feet, but I promise I will work hard and devote my time to repay the trust you have put in me.
My first name is ‘Muqaddasah’, but it can be a bit difficult to pronounce, so a lot of my friends call me simply ‘Bano’ – I’m happy to be called by either name!
I really hope that I will have the opportunity to meet as many residents as possible in the coming weeks and months.
