From this Sunday 1st July, Whalley Range councillors Angeliki Stogia, Mary Watson and Aftab Razaq will be holding a regular advice session at Chorlton Lodge in Alexandra Park, on the first Sunday of every month from 12 noon to 1pm.
Since the beginning of May, Whalley Range ward has had new boundaries. Before then the councillors held weekly advice sessions at the Play Centre in Manley Park which was a fairly central location in the old ward. However with the new boundaries the Play Centre is no longer so convenient for everyone, and in particular is quite some distance for residents in Moss Side who want to raise matters with a councillor. Chorlton Lodge is located by the Claremont Road entrance to Alexandra Park. There are safe pedestrian crossings over Princess Parkway nearby. The use of the venue has been made available with the kind cooperation of Alexandra Park’s Heritage Group.
Advice sessions will continue at Manley Park Play Centre on the 3rd Monday of the month from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. A full schedule and more information about the advice session venues can always be found on this website here. All sessions are open to all residents in the ward, regardless of their address.
