Whalley Range Labour - Angeliki Stogia Campaigning as Labour Candidate

2 elections – local tomorrow and Euro on 23 May

The local election of councillors to Manchester City Council takes place tomorrow, on Thursday 2 May. Our Labour and Co-operative Party candidate is Angeliki Stogia, who is standing for a fourth term as councillor in Whalley Range.

Also, due to the Conservative government’s continued failure to negotiate an acceptable Brexit deal, the UK did not leave the EU in March and the country will now hold elections to the European Parliament. These take place on Thursday 23 May (three weeks later than the locals) and are completely separate.

Unlike tomorrow’s, there is still time to register to vote for the Euro elections if you aren’t already on the electoral register but you need to do it by next Tuesday (7th). If you’re not sure how, see our Q&A guide here. There is also still time to apply for a postal vote – the deadline is the following day (Wednesday 8th) by 5pm.
