At the shortlisting meeting held yesterday (20 September) which was attended by almost sixty members, Whalley Range Branch Labour Party voted by a large majority (44-13) to reselect Councillor Angeliki Stogia as their candidate in the 2019 local election (to be held on Thursday 2 May).
Angeliki said after the meeting: “It was wonderful that so many people made the effort to take part in this selection on a wet and windy evening, and I am overwhelmed by the support I’ve received from my comrades. This is the fourth time the branch has selected me as their candidate, and I hope I will continue to repay the trust they have put in me by speaking up for Labour values in our ward and across the city”.
