The 2016 local elections for Manchester City Council were held yesterday, and Angeliki Stogia was returned for Labour in Whalley Range with a big increase in votes and a small increase in majority.
Angeliki says “I’m really grateful to the electors of Whalley Range for giving me a second term in office, and I promise to continue working hard on behalf of everyone in the ward. It is especially pleasing that there was such a high turnout in this election – it shows that people here really care about politics”.
The full result of the election, on a turnout of 45%, was as follows:
