This year’s local election count was held at Manchester Central, and rather unusually took place during Friday daytime following the election (instead of overnight, straight after the close of polling). This is mainly because there were two sets of ballot papers (for the local and European votes) which first had to be separated and verified.
Mary and the branch would like to thank all of the staff at the count, who conducted it quickly and efficiently as usual.
