Whalley Range Labour - Refugee Education Event

Refugee Education Fundraising Event

Thanks to all who came and contributed to our very special event last night to raise money for Refugee Education. Some donations are still coming in, and we’ll update this post with the total when we have it. Special thanks to Mike, JP and Damian in the band, to Laurence the DJ, to Shiasta for the food, to the Carlton Club for hosting, to speakers Madeleine Bailey (from Darfur School / Help Refugees), Sue Cockerill (from Refugee Aid Chorlton) and Mike Kane MP, to Whalley Range Councillor Mary Watson for compering, and above all to everyone who came (Labour and non-Labour members alike) and gave so generously, while hopefully having a great time.
