At a public meeting on Sunday 10 April, Whalley Range Labour Party formally launched the campaign to re-elect Angeliki Stogia as Councillor on Thursday 5 May. Angeliki and Sir Gerald Kaufman spoke, supported by Mary Watson and Aftab Razaq, and there were questions from the floor on topics such as homelessness, Council democracy, fracking, and even the timing of Easter school holidays.
Afterwards there was some delicious food prepared by branch supporters, and a chance to chat to the candidate and our MP and Councillors informally.
