Whalley Range Labour - Manchester Sky Ride Cycling Event

Whalley Range councillor setting the pace?

Manchester was the proud host of another Sky Ride cycling event early in August, with much of the city centre closed to cars and other traffic to allow cyclists of all ages and abilities a fun, free and safe day out and about on the city’s streets. Amongst those taking part was Whalley Range councillor Angeliki Stogia, seen here preparing to take on track cyclist Matt Crampton in a quick sprint (photo from the Manchester Evening News article about the event).

Angeliki, who is Assistant Executive Member for Sport, Leisure and the Arts on the Council is keen to promote cycling in Manchester, and there’s information about the Manchester Cycle Forum on the Council website.
