Manchester City Council is working alongside Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) to shape the future of school travel across our city and the wider region. Together, we are committed to creating a well-connected, zero-carbon transport system that makes Manchester a fantastic place to live, work, and visit.
A key part of this vision is the Greater Manchester School Travel Strategy, which aims to help more children and young people walk, wheel, scoot, cycle, or use public transport to get to school. To ensure this strategy reflects the needs and experiences of families in Whalley Range, we want to hear from you.
Cllr Angeliki Stogia said: “Many groups in Whalley Range are working hard to make school travel more sustainable, and residents are keen to see safer journeys to school for our children. By improving school travel, we can reduce congestion, improve air quality, and support healthier lifestyles. I encourage everyone to have their say and help shape this vital strategy.”
