Whalley Range Labour – Save our NHS!

The NHS is under attack from the Tory/Lib Dem Government. Our Whalley Range Labour Councillors don’t just demonstrate against this, they are also involved in trying to help. Councillor Mary Watson is a member of the Health and Adult Care Scrutiny Committee, holding Manchester’s health services to account. But importantly she is also part of the ‘Ageing Well in Whalley Range’ steering group, and chaired the ‘Age Debate’ in Whalley Range this summer.

Mary says “As a result of this debate, I have taken part in a campaign for older people to have their flu jabs – the more of us who have our jabs, the more we protect ourselves and our families.” Mary is also hoping to get the Health Bus to visit our area so that people of all ages can have easy access to health checks… look out for more news on this!
